In a matter of days after learning about the issue, NJTogether leaders in Morris County mobilized & secured a meeting with the Morris School District to raise concerns about the need for food distribution over spring break. Within 24 hours, the food was being delivered, there was a plan in place to distribute the food (via Table of Hope, hosted by Bethel AME Church), and a local restaurant was holding the food in its freezer.
The distribution reached about 200 families each day with breakfast and lunch over spring break.
