Essex Together
Essex Together is a broad-based chapter of New Jersey Together consisting of 17 member institutions. In the spring and summer of 2021, Essex religious and non-profit leaders led a cross-county listening campaign seeking to understand the hopes, dreams, and concerns of Essex County residents. This campaign, paired with the work of our institutions and organizers, led to the launching of Essex Together in May of 2023.
At the launch of Essex Together, our four primary areas of focus were brought into view: criminal justice reform, housing, education, and green energy/environment. Our strategy teams are currently working on these issue driven campaigns. We are holding trainings throughout the year as we continue to prepare our leaders and teams to act on their interests.
If you are interested in getting involved or involving your religious congregation or non-profit, please reach out to us at essex@njtogether.org.
